Review by Bold Consumer for Bike-O-Vision Cycling DVD #1 European Sampler Rating: I have most of the Bike-O-Vision Cycling DVDs and have been doing them now for a couple of weeks, with effective results. The "saddle-bags" are disappearing and it has been fun making it happen.

It's much easier to be consistent when you enjoy both the challenge and the scenery. You can take your exercise to whatever level you want with these. Those of us who are not experts in cycling don't have to worry. We don't get left behind in the dust and we get just as much exercise value as those with lots of experience and expertise. Nobody is judging us on our form or speed.

The European Sampler appears to have been their first DVD. It's a few minutes shorter than the others I've been doing, maybe by about 10 minutes. Regardless, it is PACKED with beautiful and challenging areas to explore. I think of it as an adventure. Every day I look forward to going somewhere new, or, sometimes, a place I have been and enjoy riding through on my virtual bike, seeing it from a different viewpoint.

These cycling DVDs are the best exercise discovery I've made for a very long time. I wish I had discovered them earlier.

All of the Bike-O-Vision DVDs are fantastic journeys and I am particulary fond of the Zion Nat Park & So. Utah, Nevada, Sedona, California Wine Country, and Puerto Rico adventures. I like to alternate these with the Spinerval (Troy Jacobson) DVDs, especially the Cycling with Iron Girl.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered these, but I was pleasently surprised. Basically it's just really nice footage of scenic driving and biking routes set to music. I have a television right in front of my exercise bike, and I even watch it from the tread mill. Keep 'em coming!

Review by P McDaniel for Bike-O-Vision Cycling DVD #1 European Sampler Rating: I love to cycle and haven't been able to cycle in Europe yet. This DVD is great and I love the whole series. European Sampler is shortest of the videos, only 35 minutes instead of 75 like the rest. On the other hand I'm glad I got it because of all the interesting roads through Europe I would never have seen yet. These dvds are great compliments to indoor cycling because the forward motion visuals keep you wanting to push ahead in your workouts. Definitely a different perspective then looking at the wall. I now have all their videos and use them for daily workouts. There are a lot of DVD rides so I never get bored. I've recommended the series to my cycling friends and they seem to like them too.

Review by Jc for NASA: 50 Years of Space Exploration Rating: The documentaries are interesting. However, the quality is horrible. The video is grainy and compressed even on the newer documentaries. The colors are faded. The audio sounds like it was played from a Vinyl LP. This is everything you would expect from a Madacy boxed set.

Review by John Walters for NASA: 50 Years of Space Exploration Rating: I've bought other Madacy DVD's in the past. Each time, I hoped that the quality would get better...but it never does! I swore after this latest set that I would never buy another Madacy product.
You cannot judge the titles on the DVD's...they were produced by NASA in the best quality.. However, the re-recording process they use is really bad. You would think the company could do better if they are going to produce these DVD's in the future. My advice? Look for the titles from other sources. These NASA documentaries are available in much better quality from anybody else!
One positive thing about Madacy Video...they use good quality packaging, and DVD disk labels. Too bad thats' as far as their workmanship goes!

Review by one world not three for NASA: 50 Years of Space Exploration Rating: Very nicely presented gift set 0f 5 DVD's in a cool looking tin. A real thrill for all you space junkies out there, and I am one too!! Well organized discs, lots of menu options, and I like the little quiz at the end of each disc, to see if you've been paying attention!! Overall well worth the small $, even if you are ultimately very familiar with the subject matter and film clips. Have not seen the Ultimate NASA DVD's yet, but they have an extra couple of hours viewing, and we space junkies can always use more!
